TFDA is pleased to announce its first ever women`s league, starting very soon with the first game May 11th. Games will be at 6pm on Tuesday nights at Herndon Park in South Durham (tinyurl.com/tfda-herndon).

Semis and finals will also be played on Tuesdays at 6pm, with the last games on June 29th. We have room for only 80 players and registration is open right now at tfda.org/store. Registration will close on May 4th, so hurry and register now!

Because this is a new league reaching out to serve the female population, we are keeping the cost down this first time to $25. There will not be a disc included, and the jerseys will be cotton with only a front logo. We also don't want to discourage women from playing in the mixed summer league on Saturdays by running concurrent full-cost leagues. If things go well, in the future the price structure will be standardized to TFDA's formula ($20 base + $5 per regular week of play). But TFDA members do still get 10% off and TFDA student members still get 20% off of this league.

Once this league has concluded, we would like to form a women`s outreach committee to help us continue supporting women`s ultimate in the Triangle. To that end, the first volunteers that we need are captains for this league! We need 4 captains to please step up now to organize these Tuesday night teams. As a captain, you will also need to be available for the draft some time between May 4th and May 11th. We are allowing two captains to work together as co-captains, but no more than two per team.
